Back to School

You know you have been successful as a parent when your kids are BEGGING to go back to school!

I have been trying to rotate Kaid's picture for the last 30 mintues, but I am not computer saavy....sorry. This is Kaid as he is heading out the door to his first day of JUNIOR HIGH!!

I can hardly believe it. I have to admit...it's a little frightening sending your oldest off to junior high, and for a lot of reasons.

  • It means that Robb and I are getting DANG old, and I don't like that one bit.

  • Kaiden has his cell phone attached to his hand at all times answering and sending texts at record speeds.

  • In the morning, he comes down smelling like he bathed in Axe. I'm not sure what message he is trying to send to the ladies.

  • And his voice has COMPLETELY changed. He sounds like a little man....SCARY!

This little guy is Cooper, or better know as Coop. Behind that sweet little face is a lot of feistyness. He's the spitting image of his father, and has a lot of his personality traits as well. He's starting 5th grade this year and can't wait to get back.

I can't say enough great things about my sweet Connor. He is actually as sweet as that face. Just to give you an idea of his sweetness....when we went school shopping, it was a challenge because i guess the big thing these days for boys' clothes is skulls. There are skulls on EVERYTHING. Connor refused to buy anything with a skull on it. It didn't matter how awesome the shirt was....if there was a skull on it, he put it right back. I finally asked him why he hated skulls so bad. He said, "Because they're punkish, and I'm not a punk." Freaking sweetest thing ever.

You have great boys. It was fun having you guys down over Labor Day.

I had to laugh about Kaiden and Axe. I carpool Harrison and his friends to school. The other day I picked up his friend and had to roll down the window he had so much on. I had to laugh. Man we are getting old! Especially me and Matt!

I was totally cranking my head to look at Kaiden. He is so handsome!! I love them all so much. I loved, loved, loved Connor's little paragraph and miss that little face of Coop's. I'm so homesick for them!

You sweetie with your blog friends. 3 people! HA!!!

LOVE YA!!

Your boys are awesome! It's funny how different your twins are. Their personalities are totally different. I totally remember those days in Junior High when the boys would wear Obsession. I can't believe you have a boy that is right there. That makes me SOOOO nervous for my kids to grow up.

About the rotating the picture thing... computer tech is here. Before you choose what picture you are going to upload to your blog, there is a section where you choose "modified of original" . If you rotated it where you uploaded your pictures to your computer, then you can choose modified and it should be rotated in there. That probably doesn't make any sense. Just call me if you want me to impart my wisdom.

Davis also likes to wear the Axe body spray. He calls it "bring it spray". Don't know why.
Love your blog.

Hey Brooke! I found your blog from a comment you left on Melissa's Blog - Your boys are so stinkin' handsome, you have a beautiful family (and you are still as pretty as ever). Hope you don't mind if I check in to your blog now and then.

I was in Utah a few weeks ago and saw your mom, she is so funny... those two ward librarians are insane together ~ party in the library!!

Hey Brooke this is Valerie, Kirks sister. Your family is so cute and I have to say how great it is that Conner won't do skulls. It is on everything and I get mad at my 25 year old daughter for buying clothes and hats with skulls on. Hey and you guys are not so old because I have a grandson that is 14 so enjoy that you are still young and beautiful.

Art Show

Tonight was Cooper and Connor's Art Show which displayed all the art work they completed this summer during Rachel Waters' art class. They started about 5 weeks ago and completed a different art project every week. Tonight, family got to come and see their projects on display. It was so fun. Cooper and Connor are very artistic and love to create. Rachel, their art teacher, was awesome. She came up with the cutest projects and helped ignite their creativity. It was a great experience and I'm so proud of their great work!!
